Bio
Justin Balog is a writer, educator, and arts administrator from Beach Park, IL. He holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. A graduate of the University of Michigan’s Helen Zell Writers’ Program with his MFA in Poetry, he has received fellowships from the Vermont Studio Center and the University of Michigan. He was an Assistant Editor at Michigan Quarterly Review where he co-founded MQR’s online, multimodal imprint Mixtape.
In addition to his writing, he is also a higher education administrator and has worked in programs at the University of Michigan, University of Wisconsin – Madison, Harvard College, and the University of Maryland. He is a recent graduate of the Graduate School of Education at Harvard.
